Carpet and
moquette,
woven here.
Al-Nassajoun runs a carpet and moquette factory on 25,900 square metres in Jurf al-Naddaf, Baghdad. We weave for homes, mosques, hotels and offices — and we import the yarn, jute backing and dyes the rest of the trade runs on.
What we do
A mill and a supplier, under one roof
One half of the company weaves. The other half keeps Iraqi weavers, retailers and contractors supplied with the raw materials and finished goods they need. The two feed each other — we buy what we use, so we know what we sell.
01 — Manufacturing
We make carpet and moquette
Wall-to-wall moquette in rolls, room rugs, mosque carpet, prayer mats, stair runners and contract carpet for hotels and offices. Woven and tufted on our own lines in Baghdad, finished and cut to the width you order.
- Wall-to-wall moquette — rolls to 4 m
- Mosque carpet & prayer rugs
- Contract carpet for hotels and offices
- Custom colourways and dimensions
02 — Import & supply
We import what the trade runs on
Carpet yarn, jute and woven backing, latex, dyes and pigments — brought into Iraq in commercial volumes and sold to mills, workshops and retailers. Plus finished carpet, moquette and home furnishings for the wholesale market.
- Carpet yarns — PP BCF, polyester, acrylic, nylon
- Jute backing and secondary backing cloth
- Dyes, pigments and finishing chemicals
- Finished carpet, moquette and furnishings
From yarn to roll
Four stages, in order
Every metre that leaves the factory has passed through the same four stages. Nothing is skipped, and each stage is checked before the next one starts.
-
Stage 01
Yarn & dye
Yarn is received, graded and dyed to the colourway. Batches are matched against the approved sample before they go anywhere near a loom.
-
Stage 02
Weaving & tufting
Warp is set on the beam and the pile is put down — woven for pattern work, tufted for plain and textured moquette at production width.
-
Stage 03
Backing
Latex is applied and the jute or woven secondary backing is bonded on. This is what holds the pile and keeps the carpet flat and square for years.
-
Stage 04
Finishing & cut
Shearing, brushing, edge binding, inspection, then cut to the length ordered, rolled, wrapped and loaded.
